Fantasy and legend--The story of King Arthur and the Round Table, of Excalibur the Magic Sword; the love story of Guenevere and Lancelot; the magic of Merlin...and the villainy of Mordred. Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's "CAMELOT" is an intelligent, literate, witty script with gorgeous music. Combine the innate merits of the musical drama with its Kennedy era symbolism, and one can become absolutely drenched in nostalgia.

The Harlequin Dinner Theater's "CAMELOT" is a beautifully staged presentation full of fine production values, and some fairly good acting. Don Wiswell is especially fine as Arthur--warm, kind, and eminently reasonable. He makes Arthur's intellectual curiosity, self-deprecation, quiet wit, and simple goodness major strengths of the production.

"CAMELOT" at the Harlequin Dinner Theater...lush staging, beautiful songs, pleasing performers...a delightful meshing of fantasy, legend, and modern rationalism...it all makes for a decidedly pleasant evening.....
