Princeton University Graduate SchoolPrinceton University Graduate School We are thrilled to report that graduate student Hannah Wiswell has been named a co-winner of the Regional Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, earning one of two top prizes. After winning the Princeton University inaugural 3MT last month, Hannah impressed judges once again today with her presentation, "Avian-Inspired Engineering: Learning from Birds to Design Safer Aircraft for Humans." A Ph.D. student in Princeton MAE, Hannah was one of two top-prize recipients selected from a group of 15 finalists. Those finalists had been chosen from a field of 46 institutional winners across the U.S. and Canada to advance to today's online regional round. The competition was sponsored by the Northeastern American Association of Graduate Schools (NAGS) and hosted by Concordia University. With this result, Hannah is now eligible to compete in the Council of Graduate Schools national 3MT competition. The Graduate School introduced 3MT to Princeton as part of this year's 125th Anniversary celebration. Congratulations, Hannah, and thank you for representing Princeton graduate students so well!
